What Is Natural Family Planning?
Natural Family Planning (NFP) refers to a family of methods that help married couples observe and interpret the natural signs of a woman’s fertility. These methods offer a scientific and morally faithful way to understand the rhythms of the cycle. When a couple wishes to avoid pregnancy, NFP simply asks them to abstain during the fertile window, allowing them to remain open to life while honoring God’s design for marriage.
The beauty of NFP is that charting a woman’s cycle provides insight not only into fertility but also into her overall reproductive health—an essential part of a woman’s well-being. NFP also avoids the use of contraceptive drugs or devices, respecting both the dignity of the spouses and the natural gift of fertility. As a wife, I am grateful for Natural Family Planning because it has helped me understand God’s beautiful design for marriage. NFP has allowed us to honor our call to be open to children, while trusting in God’s grace to love each other faithfully and selflessly each day.
Using NFP invites us into conversation and shared responsibility. Every cycle becomes an opportunity for us to discern together, pray, and grow in mutual understanding. Remaining chaste during the fertile window has taught me to love my husband with intention and reverence. In those times, we show love through hugs, small acts of service, and paying closer attention to each other’s needs. These moments remind me that chastity in marriage isn’t a denial of love but a way to strengthen it. Abstinence also builds self-control, making our love more generous and patient.
For our marriage, NFP has strengthened our trust, improved our communication, and has brought emotional closeness. Most importantly, it has helped us grow as a couple and as disciples, living our marriage in union with God’s plan for family and our vocation.

Introduction to the Marquette Method 1-Year $125
In your 45–80 minute introductory session, you’ll learn how to set up your first cycle and begin recognizing your unique cycle patterns.
Includes:
Ongoing follow-up and e-mail support for 1 year.
Marquette Algorithm instructions + Charting materials.
Because the Marquette Method’s effectiveness depends on correct use, I kindly ask that you commit to your follow-up sessions (1,3,6,& 12 months) in addition to the introductory session.

Postpartum Breastfeeding 1-Year $125
You can begin testing and using the breastfeeding algorithm as early as 4–6 weeks postpartum, once your lochia (postpartum healing bleed) has ended, or anytime after that.
What if I haven’t had a period after the initial postpartum bleed?
No worries — Marquette has a protocol specifically designed for this scenario .It’s recommended to take the class 2–3 weeks prior to your baby’s arrival . The hurdles of newborn life, postpartum hormonal changes, and sleepless nights can make it difficult to absorb everything.

Congratulations on your engagement and this beautiful time of preparation for the lifelong covenant of love, fidelity, and fertility — the sacrament of marriage .
This session is for couples who are soon to be married (be sure to check your Diocese’s marriage prep requirements for timing).
To receive your NFP Marquette Method certificate for marriage preparation, you will need to complete the introductory session along with three monthly follow-up sessions.

Hello! I’m Jazmine—wife, mom of two girls, and a Family Nurse Practitioner. My husband and I have been using the Marquette Method for a 3 years now, and it’s been such a meaningful part of our marriage journey.
After returning to the Catholic faith and receiving the grace of the Sacrament of Marriage, we wanted to grow our family naturally. We quickly realized that infertility was part of our story, and with the guidance of the Creighton Model and NaPro Technology, we navigated that challenging season with hope and faith.
When we finally welcomed our miracle baby, our hearts overflowed with gratitude and awe for God’s goodness. Continuing with the Marquette Method afterward provided us with both practical tools and deep peace of mind—especially in the beautiful yet unpredictable postpartum season.
Along the way, I began to recognize a significant gap in healthcare education: many providers receive little to no training in modern, evidence-based natural family planning. This realization sparked a commitment in me to share this knowledge and support women and couples in navigating fertility.
Today, as an NFP advocate and Marquette student teacher, I love guiding women and couples to understand their fertility with confidence, so they can make informed, faith-filled choices. My goal is to help you feel supported, knowledgeable, and inspired as you navigate your own journey!
